What Happened To "Most Haunted" On The Travel Channel?

Well boys and girls. It seems Most Haunted bit the dust on the Travel Channel. Oh, it's alive and kicking in the UK. A matter of fact. The have their new series this year as "live". No more pretaped shows. They still do their 8 day live events. And, other things. My YouTube will be working on overdrive.
The reason I think this is the case? Is that they are not listed as one of the Travel Channel shows. No listing, period. No main Most Haunted page. But, on Jan. 29th at 10PM EST. It shows Most Haunted : Speke Hall. We shall see.
So, where does this leave other shows? For me, lately, I have been "missing" shows here and there. Watch them online. Or, other means.
But, it's getting boring. I'm finding reading books on the paranormal my new thing. I travel a lot. So, it's nice to grab a cup of tea, some cookies, grab a book in a nice comfortable chair.
To tell you the truth. These shows don't peak my interest. You now their every movement. It's the same. Year after year. It just doesn't work after a while. Don't get me wrong I love Zak's manic behavior. But, will it get under my skin after awhile? I think so. Or, watching Brandy walking around will a tripod in hand. Yup! That'll get boring too.
As, for Most Haunted? I liked them because they always changed their format. I know, we always knew when they will yell or scream (the close ups). But, each series as of late changed each year.
As for here in the US? It's a matter of time they'll realize they either pullout or change. Well see.

  1. I wondered if Ghost Adventures hadn't upstaged it. I never see MH advertised anymore. I'm glad I found your post. Made me realize I wasn't the only one wondering! (Although, MH isn't my fave show. GH used to be but I'm not trusting them as much now. I kind of liked Paranormal Cop, much to my surprise. Kind of had a fun combo I wouldn't have expected.)

Fun blog, btw. I've added you to my blog roll on mine. ;) (Haunt Jaunts)

  3. Thanks guys again for reading. My blog to me is like I was talking to myself. Strange huh?
But, it's nice to see that people would find it interesting.

  4. I was wondering too. I had MH on autorecord for a few years, but then a couple of years ago I noticed that there weren't any more episodes. Then I had to get a new DVR box, did a new search for MH and found nothing. I still watch Ghost Hunters and GH International, but I miss Yvette, Carl and the gang. And I was very disappointed when they replaced David Wells. I really enjoyed him. He had a lot of credibility, and I'm a huge skeptic.

  5. Its been a while since I noticed MH wasn't being broadcast, but other shows are more interesting, more active and you can actually hear or see what the team are experiencing. I think Ghost Adventures are amazing, these three guys really put themselves in some terrifying places. Ghost Hunters and GH International all interseting, good locations, and you get to see the crew interacting. I kind of think any faking would make them all laugh straight away ! MH in my view got too set in its ways, and Evette very controlling with everyone. She also got strident and could be rude with the 'spirit world'...(I beleived long before these shows came out). I think if Evette deferred to other people and stopped acting the trendy diva ....and more the passionate 'investigator' she would win people over more.

  6. You have to remember...They were the first to do a show like this. There was an interview that she and Karl explained how this all came about? They had money to blow on a new TV show concept. This is how MH came about. What I see in all the "other" shows is that they gotten better at it. And there's more to come!

  7. I am really disappointed. This is one of my favorite shows on the Travel channel. They really got me going on Ghost investigations. Looking forward to watching them bootleg I guess.

  8. Well Hope, the bad news is: They don't even have a show anymore in the UK. Living TV seems to be running a new show. Ready for this? Two groups of investigators investigating the same location. Believers vs. Skeptics.

  9. I hate the "ghost" shows that are based here in the states, for example: Ghost Adventures. It sucks, and they have absolutley no idea what they are doing. That combined with the very few historical buildings in this country. USA is just not "old" enough to have a satisfying variety of places to "research" for TV shows. I love the MH team, and really miss the show!! :( The Travel Channel made a huge mistake, what were they thinking by removing such a highly rated show?

  10. Is there ANY channel in the USA that still airs Most Haunted? I've been so angry that Travel Channel removed it. I can't find it anywhere except old episodes on Youtube.... frankly that's not good enough for me as half of the recorded episodes on Youtube are "not available in this country"..... BIG SIGH....

  13. Even though Most Haunted left the travel they should come on a different channel over in the states like Syfy

  14. They did recently come back, but I'm hoping they come back but on either Travel Channel or Destination: America. let's face it: Travel Channel has Ghost Adventures and Sci-Fi has Ghost Hunters, whereas Destination: America has A Haunting, which has really gone down the drain following it's reboot.
