Well, Spoke To Soon! My Paranormal Predictions For The New Year.

Just when I thought, BAM! Another new paranormal show is coming around the bend. A&E Paranormal Cops. Jan. 19th at 10:30PM EST. Their Chicago Cops that investigate during the off hours. 6 1/2 Hour Episodes. I believe the first one is a one hour investigation of Casa Madrid.
As for other parts of my predictions? Last night on Paranormal State I do have to say I was a little shocked. At just about how far these shows will go. The first 1/2 hour was fine. It made sense. And it was an interesting show. But, the second? Well, well, well, a bondage sex club? With a strange connection? Oh my! And, that what made it a bit confusing to say the least. That's all I can say.
So, this all opens up the question? How far is too far? Whether it's cops, sex clubs. Or,should recent known places of tragedies happened be investigated? Is this really entertainment? Or, just to make a quick buck? I really don't know. I hope not. Hope it doesn't go all the way down the rabbit hole. They should keep it true, interesting, and don't cross lines to tasteless. That should be it for now. *looking both ways, sweating*

Mardi Gras. New Orleans, The Most Haunted City In The US.

Mardi Gras, "The feast before the fast". Or, also known as Shrove Tuesday or Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday is the start of Lent. It's really the day when Catholics can overindulge before fasting.
A French-Canandian explorer Jean Baptiste Le Moyne Sieur de Bienville discovered a patch of land in 1699. He called it Pointe due Mardi Gras. And, so was the start of Mardi Gras being celebrated in New Orleans.
So, if your planning a trip around this time. Make sure you visit the most haunted city in the US. I'll give you one to wet your taste buds.
Madame Marie Delphine Macarty LaLaurie lived in a Mansion located on 1140 Rue Royale is said to be very haunted. Footsteps will be heard in the attic. Disembodied voices in some guest rooms. It's said also you can hear children laughing and running around the courtyard. A woman is seen around the mansion. Sometimes a man.
The story goes that Madame LaLaurie and her husband Dr. Leonard LaLaurie tortured, abused and even killed about 100 slaves in their famous Torture Chamber Attic. Then would buried the dismembed bodies in the rear of the home. Even inside.
If you like to read of all the stories of New Orleans while traveling. Here's one: "Journey Into Darkness: Ghosts, and Vampires of New Orleans" By Kalila Kathrine Smith.
And, visit the Voodoo Website: http://www.thehouseofvoodoo.com/ Just to get the eerie feel of the place before you go.
And, a little tidbit information about the Mansion. The actor Nicolas Cage owned the LaLaurie Mansion at one time. Tell me if that's not creepy enough.

Predictions For 2010 For The Paranormal. For Fun!

Hope everybody enjoyed there holidays, so far! So, to have a little fun I would like to "guess" what's going to happen this coming year in the paranormal community. First, a lot of those weird paranormal shows that have been popping up on us (Ghost Lab, Extreme Paranormal, The Haunted, so on and so forth) will disappear. Or, heaven forbid! More keeps rolling in. Next, they'll be more paranormal equipment. Hey, all those MIT engineering graduates want to make some money to pay off their school bills back. So, they'll just pop "toys" out for those who are willing to pay good money to say the found a ghost. Paranormal groups? A lot of them have been closing up. It's not that much fun as they thought it would be. Who has money to buy a Nascar trailer (Ala, Ghost Lab)to pull around. And you find out it's not a stepping stone for you to meet your favorite TV investigators. Books? They'll always be around. I believe more books on the paranormal are going to be on Barnes and Nobles shelves then ever before. Then all these paranormal websites will begin to shut down. Because of one factor. You can only write about the same people, places, and questions for so long before it runs it's course. Some of these sites just pass the same information you found in one site to another site. It gets to be a little ridiculous after a while. And, the same people on the forums jump from one forum to another. You can run away from them.
And, lastly, the basic issues! The main thing that bothers people the most? The investigations to the same places over, and over, and over, again, it's like beating a dead horse. And, the visits to strange people, in strange little houses in the middle of nowhere don't cut it either. I have never once seen any group visit an apartment houses (in a big city), schools, retirement homes, and the list is endless. But, most of all the "formats" of all these shows, websites, etc. Have to change their tune a little. Be a little more humble that you really don't know as much as you say you do. Admit it's unknown territory to you as it is to us. Make the formats more humanized. As for science? Until really scientists can get in to debunk all this misinformation going around. There's nothing science about it. So, I believe this will be the new wave of the future that we'll be seeing soon. I hope?

Christmas's Favorite Ghost!

Jacob Marley died December 24, 1836. He's one of my favorite character's in many novels I have read during my life. Which in this case is "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens.
He was an old business partner of Ebenezer Scrooge. And, Scrooge was Marley's sole executor to all of his belongings after death.
So, as the story goes Marley lands up in purgatory. And, came back as a ghost haunting Old Ebenezer in different forms. But, mainly as the transparent ghost with heavy long chains. And, the chains have attached cash boxes, locks, keys, padlocks. When Scrooge asked, why the chains to his old partner. He replies by saying that it was created during his lifetime. He's upset that he never found happiness during his life and now even in death. So, he's damned to walk the earth dragging the chains for eternity. All this is to help Scrooge redeem himself. So, the same will not fall onto him.
We as readers will never know what happened to Marley after Scrooge had a change of heart. We really do hope for the best.
I wish you all Happy Holidays. And, please give to those who are forgotten during the year. Either friends, family, strangers or animals. Don't forget them! Peace!

GL TV Review: Paranormal State "Dead Legends"

**Warning: Spoiler** Ok, I don't want to get into a habit of writing about the paranormal shows. But, a big but, this particular case was so unusual I have to do it again. So, that being said. This is a case about a hotel in Pennsylvania. They have so much going on there it would be an investigators dream in a package. A shmorgusborg. Or, so it seems.
The owner said there are three hauntings. A young boy, a butcher, and a bride. The reason PS was called in was that someone was doing a video on a stairwell. And, they see a dark shadow of a boy. That spooked them so much that they had to do something. Now, we haven't see Chip Coffey awhile. And, they had him blindfolded the whole time while in the building. So, now that I give you a feel of what the situation is. Here's the hitch.
While Chip was in there he said exactly what the hauntings are. And, he went bye-bye. They just used him a spit. Strange huh? Now, while they were investigating it was a carnival ride of activity. Unreal I would call it. The most I ever seen in any show. But, the punchline is: With all this going on. They went to the Historical Society and the local newspaper. Zilch! Nothing! Nada! Nothing ever happen at the hotel. Scary or just plain strange. So, they concluded that these activity were created by the stories people past down to one another. To the point that (I know this is going to sound nuts) spirits came from wherever, to become real. As for Chip. He was mind reading. Oh my, where does this all leave us? *My mind is thinking* Blank, blank, blank. Another words, I don't know what to think. Stumped. For me, I'm really on the fence with this one. And, I really think they didn't quite finish what they started there. Should they go back. Heck yeah!

Personal Reflections Of The Paranormal World

Yesterday I was watching Animal Plant's The Haunted. First, I love animals. Now, that's off my chest. Let me go into what was troubling to me when watching the marathon that was going on Animal Plant. Each of the cases had different paranormal groups involved. You listen to them talk about what the see, hear, and just plain their personal opinions. I don't agree with many of their personal thoughts. In one cases a pretty new investigator was with the clients going into a twin babies bedroom. And, they saw blood all over the place. But, nothing happen to the babies they were still asleep. Hum, I think that the investigator had a squeeze bottle on him as he was doing a solo walk though. And, damaged these to these poor people belongings. I don't think that was paranormal. And, he knew it. So, saying this my point is that the majority of the investigators, when speaking to clients. It's just their personal opinions that you are listening to. Just because you have tons of equipment, personnel and a trillion investigations under your belt. You know what your talking about. Their just regular folk like you or I. Some sensitive and some just don't feel a thing. So, why call them in the first place? This has always been a sore point for me. I wouldn't call them. I'll try to figure it out myself. Or, contact a church that know how to handle this kinds of situations. Or, just plain move. Because all these people really can't feel what you feel. Have any understanding what you are going through. To be honest. Your alone and you are the only person that can get you out of the mess in the first place. Sad but true.

Are Movies Based On True Stories, True?

Saw the beginning of Amityville Horror on TV last night. The new one. To understand why would people be interested in a fabricated story. Yes, the sad story of the family is true. But, the book written by the Lutz's is completely just what it is. A story. The movies themselves are even more fabricated. That people are just down right confused. I don't really want to get hot and heavy on this particular story. I just want to make a point. The movies make the house look as though it's in the middle of nowhere. Like a house built on a long country road by a lake, ocean. They really don't make it clear. But, the actual house is on a regular street with houses close on top of one another. With a sidewalk. And, the house is located by a canal to opens to the Atlantic Ocean. Totally different.
Some people find this out and wonder. Why didn't anyone hear all this noise that night? If their so close? The answer is they just wanted to minded their business. These were regular working Joe's that work hard and travel the distance to Manhattan. To own those lovely homes. To this day they just want people to go away. I don't blame them. It like the famous Sherlock Holmes house. Oh, yes, it's an actual address. So, when the last occupancies left. Some people took it over. And, you guessed it. Made it Mr. Holmes house. Don't believe everything. Find out first the true story.

GL TV Review: Ghost Hunters Academy-Finale

Didn't know I was going to do another TV review so soon. But, I had know idea that the cadets would win spots on GHI. That was a surprise. Now how they will be used is what I don't understand. Also, are they going to be on this season's GHI show? Are they temps (meaning, a couple of shows)? We shall see. The other surprise is there is going to be a season 2 of GHA. Or, as some say, another semester. Jane is gone. Should have happened sooner.
All the Ghost Hunters shows are beginning to be a little confusing. People jumping back and forth from show to show. And, how is this going to effect GHI? Weren't these cadets suppose to go on the regular GH show? And, where was Robb's input on the cadets? I think that was a little unfair to his show. Did they tell these cadets(remember they are collage student) that they will be traveling overseas? I wonder how many will dropout in favor of actual school? I know I would.
My take on all this is, this is all about money. Being greedy. They have their foot in so many doors. That they know if one goes. There's another still there. They might as well make a Ghost Hunters network. Just get it over with. But, for me, I'm getting bored fast. To the point of not watching anymore.

GL TV Review: Paranormal State-New Season

This is a kind of funny. Because I unusually don't do reviews of older shows. But, I have to throw my 2 cents worth into the pot. Now again, don't get me wrong. I do like this group and their style. But, I don't think they are going in the right direction? On their first investigation of the new season. Again, they are working with a person that they believe is are being demonically possessed. I have personally have worked with the mentally ill. And, this man I believe is a danger to himself and those around him. True, they did find out that there are actual hauntings going on in the home. But, what happen is the hauntings compounded the illness the man already had in progress. I don't think this is something that should be televised to the public. If they wanted to "help". It should have been done privately.
To be fair to PS it's noticeable that investigations (in several paranormal shows) with the mentally ill have been an attention grabber. Whether dead or alive. This is not a good thing. But, getting back to the original discussion. It would be nice if PS stay away from this awhile. Because this will definitely lose fans. It just becomes uncomfortable to watch.
As an add on. He has to stop using Lorraine Warren. She is a sensitive. I don't believe she is as psychic as she tries to pull. And, it definitely comes off that way. But, all in all. I'm glad to see them back.

No Such Thing As Ghosts?

Dr. Richard Wiseman of the University of Hertfordshire and his colleagues of the British Journal of Psychology. They did a study on two of the UK's most haunted locations. Hampton Court Palace, England and South Bridge Vaults, Scotland.
The psychologist are trying to prove and narrow it down to what people as seeing a place as haunted as just "feelings". Is there such a thing as ghosts? They don't think so.
They believe it's a way the body reacts to certain surroundings. Data shows people being spooked. But, with no evidence of ghosts.
But, they also proved that some people can go into a place known for it's ghosts. And, going in with no prior knowledge of that fact. They still can be spot on the certain rooms that are known to be haunted. But, again through feelings and not ghosts.
Dr. Wiseman has done all sorts of experiments. And, comes down to saying that a place maybe actually and truly haunted. What?
For me, I don't get this. Does this mean it changes the way we think of hauntings. So now I ask one question, "What is a haunting?". And, "What are ghosts?" We do hear this many times on several of the paranormal shows. Like Jason of GH stating at a reveal that there is paranormal activity present. But, he can't call the place haunted. But, were left in the air with not understanding that statement. But, the field is being narrowed down to an answer.
I think?

Are The Paranormal Forums Changing?

I have notice lately a lot of people dropping out of the forums (maybe their just Twittering). Or, just going to other forums. Just like that! I mean they are allowed to. Don't get me wrong. But, somehow what is it that disappoints them? What are they really looking for? This is just a couple of questions.
Their are some that are just plain lonely. It's a quick way of picking up so call friends. Hanging out to the wee hours of the morning. Misery loves company. But, a good bunch out there just love trying to win arguments. You can see they don't even know what they are talking about. They have to be in total control (of what?). Others, like myself don't see the cohesiveness of the topic? Half of the time it has nothing to do with the paranormal.
And, some, I do agree with this, are just not getting the answers they are looking for satisfied.
So, why have forums? Well, for starters. There are websites that create the forums so you click on their sites. For you to watch the TV show, buy something, and to give them insight to how well their website is going. In general, their business.
That's why there's a lot of grabbing and pulling from one forum to another. Facebook, Myspace, Podcast, Twitter is there to get you. For you to help them. But, I believe, from seeing for myself. Their many people closing down their Facebook, etc. Finding out it's not working for them, personally. An old fashion, meet and greet is 10 times better then false friends. They really cannot help you with your wanting knowledge on the paranormal.

Money To Be Made On The Paranormal

Now, I can writing forever on this topic. But, I'll just skim the surface. What made me think about this today I saw an advertisement. A Paranormal Cruise. Yes, you heard me right! I believe it's next October. I almost fell off my chair. This is when you know things are going too far. It's like Snuggies for dogs. It's just too much!
Every time I watch GH I just want to rip the t-shirt and hoodies off the investigators. The books, conventions, events, it's endless. Magazines, dvds, clothes, and the equipment. And, the list goes on. This is not counting the shows. The question is: What are we getting from this? Is there something psychologically that we are feeding our souls with all this? Something deep inside we need from this? There are some of us that had personal experiences that need answers. I'm one of them. Were different from this other group. We don't need celebrities. And, what do we get from the cons or events? Really nothing. So we don't go. The shows don't help us understand what we experienced. A matter of fact. They upset us. And, confuse us more.
For the others? Now, that's interesting. They'll willing to listen to all the babble. And buying everything that's being sold to them. These are the people that are making all these guys rich.
There's an old saying that P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute!". And, I'm not one of them.

Supernatural (Spriritualist) Communities

I found out recently about several communities across the country that is totally based on mediumship, healing and spiritualistic teachings. To the point of being a religion. Spiritualist Churches are in many countries around the world. But, started in the US. Went on to Great Britain and beyond.
Started by the Fox sisters in Hydesville, NY in 1848. Later they moved to Pomfret to create Lily Dale. At Lily Dale run a series of events as well as classes. Wonewoc Spiritualist Camp in Wisconsin. And, Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp in Florida. All do pretty much the same thing. The run under the same belief.
Spiritualism is a science, philosophy and religion:

* a science because it investigates, analyzes, and classifies facts and manifestations of Spirit;
* a philosophy because it studies the laws of nature both on the seen and unseen side of life and bases its conclusions upon present, observed facts;
* a religion because it strives to understand and comply with the physical, mental, and spiritual laws of nature, which are the laws of God.

Personally I never been to these places. But, I heard many people from paranormal groups going to Lily Dale. They seem to run these huge events. So, I looked into it.

Do We Like The Living? Or The Dead?

Which are we interested in? It seems we are more interested in the TV personality then the pursuit of the dead. It's quite noticeable. We all know Jason, Grant, Yvette, Karl, Stu, Steve, Tango, Zak, Ryan. But, what about the many spirits they are seeking? I don't remember one darn name. Or, their stories. Even the places. Very sad. Had a discussion with my son the other day. And he said, "Yeah, It's very much like the video games. Nobody wants the storyline. They just want to shoot-em-up!" This really made me think. It's very true! What's causing problems in many of these shows is the dullness of the people we are talking about. They can't keep it going. Zak can be only be that intense for so long (don't laugh). Then the fraud doesn't help either. But, getting away from that a second. It seems the public is only interested in the "living". This really blows my mind. And, it's laughable. So, what does this tell us? Ghost stories alone don't cut it. I'm getting closer to my own questions about this "new" paranormal TV phenomenon. Nobody's really interested in the paranormal (in reality). When it comes to science? People today are very gadget crazy. So, the show's do grab that particular groups interest. But, for how long?
I feel sorry for the long dead souls that are being harassed by TV cameras. It's all for nothing. Nobody will ever remember them. Ever.

John Lennon And The Dakota

It was 29 years ago today that John Lennon was shot to death at The Dakota. The huge apartment building on 72nd Street Central Park West (about 5 blocks down was were Ghost Busters was filmed). The building was named so due to the fact that the surrounding area was flat open fields. I don't want to get into what the building is comprised of. But, in 1884 when it was built the apartment building had central heating. As well as many comforts that you see today in the most luxury high rises. The building was built in the round so carriages can go in the center courtyard. This was to let out passengers in the porte cochere (where John Lennon was shot). It is today the most "modern" building of all time. The same architectural firm is the same that built The Plaza Hotel. The building has been used as backdrop to such movies as "Rosemary's Baby". Have been written about in novels. And, sung about in songs.
But, endless famous people have lived there. Leonard Bernstein, Bono, Judy Garland, Boris Karloff, John Madden, Neil Sadaka, Paul Simon, Rudolf Nureyev, Gilda Radner and Sting to name a few.
But, The Dakata is haunted. A little girl has been seen bouncing a ball in several places of the building.
Judy Holliday's old apartment a worker saw a boy dressed in 1900's style cloths. The door slammed. And, his arm was grabbed. Then groped up his legs on the ladder he was standing on. And, his hand pushed to a light bulb that he was working on.
A third floor apartment the owner saw rugs and chairs moving on their own. The same owner one day was coming home looked up to his apartment to see a chandelier all lite up. Thinking his wife installed it while he was gone. Was surprised to see no chandelier.
In the basement a porter said that he saw garbage bags move on their own. A metal bar flew from across the room to his feet. A snow shovel almost hit him. Several residents complained of the same. A electrician working there one time saw a male ghost with a mustache watching him.
To this day no one have seen any sightings of John Lennon. But, he is remembered every year on Dec. 8th with flowers and remembrance.

Paranormal World For The New Year. What Will Be New?

Now, I never thought I would write about the paranormal and the New Year together? But, let's think about it a second. This pass year there has been a huge glut of shows, books, mags, radio, cons. You name it! So much so that I myself am turned off. No, really! Remember, I spoke about since the time I was born I was aware of this world. It's in my blood sort of speak. Investigations is a pretty new concept (as of late). Some people don't realize that. You hear about science also. And, about skeptics more then believers (because it's the "in" thing to be). And, the list goes on and on. But, what's the real deal?
I think this coming year is really the beginning of the end of what we are seeing? People will start walking away. Because it's something you can keep on promising and don't deliver. That's why there is so much fraud going on. Just like it was in at the turn of the century with "home seances". There was no TV back then or even radio. So, this was big. And, fakes were coming out left and right. It stopped as quick as it started. So, there is going to be a slow down and then to a complete halt.
I have been seeing too many people speaking or writing for the past few years. That personally I'm thinking? They don't know what their talking about? Their just going on what they are reading and seeing about around them "here and now"! When I hear some of these people talk at cons and fairs, etc. I always ask one loaded question? "How long have you been involved?" To my amazement they usually say no more then 4 years. Notice? Almost the same time GH or MH has been on the air. Very darn few times I hear them been involved longer then that. It's funny to hear them talking. It's like, it's my way or the highway. If I go to some of the old places where they have been having lectures for years. You hear a different story. A completely different viewpoint. It's another world.
So, my prediction will be more shows going bye-bye. A general slow down. And, that's not a bad thing.

Women On Paranormal Shows

I'm not one of these woman's lib kind of person. Not big on protesting. But, lately there is a very noticeable thing going on? Does anyone else notice? It seems on US paranormal shows it's all men? If there are women. It's pretty darn few. Why is that?
The reason it's more out there is because what happen to Donna La Croix. Ghost Hunters Academy. It seem to shine more brightly what it seems the American public wants. So they think? An All Boys Club. A male ego thing. Only men can hunt (back to cavemen). Only men can handle equipment correctly. It's too dangerous for women. The females scare easier. Females over exaggerate. This is why I'm beginning to not like these shows. It's an insult. I know there are women on the shows. But, their input is always never really that important. And, is this really good for children to watch?
Oh, but it's ok to see women as witches. Or, doing psychic readings.
I can foresee all these shows going under. Sooner than later. And, the execs will ask. How did that happen? The ratings are high? We were doing so great? What gives?
Easy! How much of the audience are woman? Yeah, there are some woman that swoon over Zak from GA. Or, Barry from GHI. You'll still have those. But, what about the rest?
They better change it up. And, fast.

General Wayne Inn, Merion, PA

Built 1704 had went under several names. William Penn Inn, Wayside Inn, Tunis Ordinary and Streepers Tavern. It's renamed most recent after a local hero called General 'Mad' Anthony Wayne who stayed there once. Many Revolutionary Battles were fought near the tavern. George Washington, Marquis de la Fayette have frequented there. As well as the British and the Hessian's. Edgar Allan Poe craved his initials on the window sill in 1843.
It is said that there are 17 entities minus the most recent haunting the tavern. One of the owners of the tavern have found human remains in the basement. A recorder was once placed on a table during the night. On listening to the recorder he heard bar stools moving, the water faucet being turned on and off. Glasses catching the water. A customer once looked in through the front window and saw a man dressed in Hessian clothes sitting at the bar. Once in the 1990's someone saw a head of a Hessian on a shelf. This is to name a few.
But, what most intrigues me of the place is what happened most recent. In 1996 Jim Webb was murdered there on the third floor by his business partner. A 20 year old chef asst. committed suicide a year later. She was the only witness to Jim's murder.
Now the tavern is a synagogue and Center for Jewish Life.

Great Website For Self Helpers

I found a site that I thought I should pass on to my readers. For those who don't want strange people running around your house at night. And, you having to stay at a hotel or relatives during the investigation. This would be for you.
I've seen on Ghost Hunters many times Steve touching and playing around with people personal belongings. Even eating candy. It does make you wonder? And, uncomfortable at the same time. How many of these investigators have a background check done on them. Their not going to tell you.
So, AIMost Haunted Paranormal Investigations have everything you need. And, more.

I'll look for more sites to help you as they come.

TV Review: The Haunted, Animal Planet

So, this Sunday I had a chance to take it easy after Thanksgiving to see The Haunted. It's just a general paranormal investigative show. It wasn't that bad. But, it's not the kind of show, for me, to watch on a regular basis.
I think Animal Planet must of asked viewers for stories of their experiences of the paranormal from all over the country. Then I believe Animal Planet contacted local paranormal groups. Ones that are located nearest to the viewer. And, then asked them to investigate the home. Hence, you have the show.
What I don't like is that you see the animal, in question, a couple of times. The rest is just talking about the case from the homeowners viewpoint. Some actors recreations. And about 15 minute worth of an investigation. And, yes a lot of spooky music and drum bangs. All to let you know it's real spooky. Oh, I'm scared now. Just joking!
This particular show looked more like a comedy then paranormal. They brought in a coven. Which the story really didn't make much sense. Because all the "happenings" was really across the street from the homeowner. Now, this case was one of the two cases it seems they do per show (half hour each).
Can I recommend this show? Not really. If you have nothing. And, I mean nothing else to do. See it. Otherwise, pass it.

Old vs. New. Which Is More Haunted?

There are so many people that would say a medieval castle is more haunted. Not necessarily? Some of those castles were abandoned soon after an assault. Maybe at most for a hundred or more years. No different from a house built in some Florida town made the same amount of years. But, this has always been the belief. Some very old places are not haunted at all.
So, what makes a place extremely haunted? I believe what you are witnessing is the aura of the situation. Of the people living at the premises at the time of death is the cause. Bottom Line: How bad the living conditions were. You can have a brand new place and something horrible happen some after it's built. And, you can have a haunting. But, personally, I believe spirits do move on sooner or later. I don't believe they hang around. Unless the living keep on provoking them (such as paranormal investigations). Or, the spirit is benevolent in nature.
I'm not to impress with extremely old places. Like it said before in another post. Lower Manhattan has the most deaths in a single location in the US and still going. And, yet people live, party, eat, and have fun there. Without a complaint of hauntings. I know they are there. But, hey, they probably tell the spirits to join them.

New TV Show : The Haunted

Miss this last night. The Animal Planet, Discovery Channel has a new show between ghost and animals. It should be interesting. I know my dog gets effected with the things that happen in my home. And, I always knew that they are more keen to "seeing" spirits.
So, here's the site. http://animal.discovery.com/tv/the-haunted/?dtc=apl-int-hp-drl-haunted

When I get a chance checking it out I'll do a write up on it.

Why Do We Want To Believe In Ghosts?

Don't worry gang. I'll be writing about some interesting haunted places. But, this is my last write up on why people investigate? Or, watch all these paranormal shows? On my other posts I was writing about fame (the shows) or just people wanting to see a ghost. But, I believe some people are wanting to going deeper then that.
I believe they want to know if there is an afterlife of some sort. I go to church and it's filled with mostly old people. They lived their lives whether it was good or bad. They want to make sure they will live on. In this case heaven. Then you have some people that believe in reincarnation. It's the same thing. But, in human form. And, then you have ghosts or spirits. I personally believe when you see so many people buying equipment, joining groups, the whole nine yards to investigate. I think it's the same as the old people sitting in the church. They want to know if they can live on. Even if it's in another form. Or, another dimension. Nobody ever says it. They are afraid of dying. And, never coming back.
As for skeptics? I think their are some that don't want to come back as a spirit or ghost. So, it's important for them to prove there is no such thing. It's based on fear. For some.
For me, I don't have the desire to go investigating. Or, being afraid of what's to come. My interest in ghosts came out of witnessing a couple myself. Otherwise I wouldn't give a darn. It's the "what was that?". So, my interest is in "how come it happens"? So, I know there are people out there that are on the same boat as I.
But, I truly believe that the majority want to know where their going when their gone? I would love it if more people just said the truth why they are so into finding a ghost. That would be very refreshing.

Bring The Old Supernatural Back

Sounds a little like Justin Timberlake's Sexy Back, huh? But, I mean guys bring it all back. It was the stepping stones of what you see today. Some of it was scientific back then too. But, I think now they are trying to be too extreme today. I believe the supernatural was always connected with spirituality also. That's what missing. How dare people go into a place where a human being like ourselves took their last breath. Talk to them and treat them poorly. It's very rude. No respect. Religion always was a big piece in it also. Does anyone ever really notice they never really explain why they want to "talk" to spirits in the first place?
I believe there are so many people out there involved only because they just want to see a ghost. And, that's it. I wonder how many drop it likes hot as soon as they do? Their in it for the wrong reason. And, they stay a great distance from anything occult or religious. They want to see all of this as a pure science phenomenon. Another dimension. That's why crop circles and UFO's are put in the mix. Which is odd. But, do they really believe this is the correct way you would do it scientifically? And, why aren't scientists of all fields involved? Ask that question first before talking about science.
To me it really not working. Because maybe. Just maybe. The old way was the right way. Maybe they were going in the right direction. But, everyone went the other way at the fork at the road. Time to turn around and start from scratch. To understand and learn about the supernatural.

Where Do We Go From Here? In The Paranormal World.

I have been watching shows. Reading books. Movies, etc. And, I really don't know what to think lately. As a person not involved in a group, ghost tours, conventions. Or, just plain "not" making money off this subject. Everything is coming to a screeching halt. For me, that is. It's just not the same. It was a subject that you thought about in a child-like wonderment and grew up with. And, now. So many people have just ruin it.
These people just see it as a means to make money off the topic. And, that's it. The shows are a huge problem. Personally I would tank them all. And, start from scratch. After all this recent, he said, she said of GH. It was awful. But, the main thing that really bothers me the most. There are people out there that don't believe in anything paranormal that are putting their big foot in it. Because they see, "money". You know how you know? They keep on changing their tune. Meaning. One day they are true skeptics (what they think a skeptic is). Next day. "Oh, I think I saw a ghost? So, now I know what everybody was talking about". Then they change to become believers. Gee whiz, you can't go back and forth like that. They just flip flop too much. You know their fake. It's unfair to people like us that have grown up on this subject. And, truly understand it. These people come along and tell us what this subject is all about from their angle. And, everything we knew on the subject for years just thrown out the window. They make fun of people like us. We're fools. Only they are correct and doing it correctly. And, the bottom line is from their stand point. We don't know what we are talking about. Sure, were being pushed aside. That's all.
My prediction: All these people involved lately we be gone. Mark my word. Gone! As soon as no money is coming in. Their worst then a ten dollar Gypsy Palm Reader. Please. When this is over. Everything will somewhat go back to how it use to be. Can't Wait.

Popcorn Movie Review: Paranormal Activity

Yes, I know what your thinking. She saw it now? I'm not going to pay a pretty penny for a movie that some were complaining about.
So, here it goes. I thought the movie wasn't that bad. But, not for the big screen. Meaning, it's good to go straight to DVD and Fearnet. Their budget for making the movie must of been small that's for sure. Four unknown actors. A house and one car. But their smarts came in with the publicity. That was real good. A website for voting for the movie to go to the big screen. This was a huge success. Even before people purchasing tickets to seeing the movie.
As for the movie itself. The actors were not that bad. But, for me it was too much going down the "Blair Witch" road. I give them credit on the fact that there was little blood. No sex. And, not really that scary. Sorry to say that. But, in general not bad.
There is something they did touch on. How easy with editing and other things you can fake doors moving, evps, and footsteps. Hey, I'm just throwing it out there.
But, if you like movies that can give you a good scare. Then by all meaning rent out Rosemary's Baby. That is a real great movie. I never get bored of it. Good stocking stuffer for Christmas.
But, as for Paranormal Activity. It's a good movie to see at home.

Gabriel Davies Tavern, Glendora, NJ

It was Inn was built 1756 and was used during the Revolutionary War by Colonial soldiers and pirates. But, it was primarily used to transport material to Philadelphia just 12 miles away via Big Timber Creek. The Inn was also called The Hillman Hospital during the war by George Washington. It was the attic that was used mainly for this purpose. To this day all the original furniture is there as well as bloodstains still seen in the attic. People have heard walking on the upper floors, lights coming from the windows, and sounds of people suffering.
The last owner of the house was William Schock who lies buried just feet from the Tavern. It's said he prefers to sit on his rocking chair that is located upstairs. And, to smoke his pipe. Some people claim to see smell and see him sitting in his favorite chair.

Some Of The Videos And Picture Mentioned On Donna's Interview With Ghostdivas.

These are a few of the things that were mentioned during Donna's interview with the Ghost Divas. So basically it combines to the interview.

*Postscript
I have seen lately a turn of events on this situation. A lot of sites have been changing their tune. To the point that it's a little scary how much power one group can have. Or, what the TRUE story is? But, I'm not changing a thing in my writing. Like I said, I'm only the messenger. The interview, videos, picture actually happened. It feels strange about why the change? I wonder how is Donna physically and "mentally" well she is? We really don't know. We all have to wait and see what happens. If anything does happen.

Tailspin Of Donna's Interview With GhostDivas

I usually don't blog on the weekends. I like blogging. I'm technically my own boss. After these pass couple of days after the interview Donna LaCroix had with The Ghostdivas a lot of new issues were exposed. For one, you have to be dense not to realize that a lot that she had said has some credence to it. We, the public have ALWAYS suspected. You have to be a strong sole a person that thinks for themselves. We knew somethings were faked and edited. And made so we believe everything we see. That's making fools out of people. I'll go to a Penn & Teller magic show any day for that.
Something happens to people when the hear the little "Ka-Ching". Money. Like the song, "Money, Money, Money". It changes people. For some oddball reason everyone is walking on eggshells in the paranormal "industry". I'm going to be using that word from now on. But, we the public must protect ourselves from those who are out there to make a name for themselves. The truth seems to go on the back burner all the time as of late.
As, for Donna? If she is telling the truth? And, she didn't sign contract that would stop her from do that. Hey, please start writing a Tell-All book. Maybe this would end all this craziness that we are seeing lately. It's boring reading on sites that a certain person is a nice guy. We don't know personally any of these people. So, how can we all say what true of not.
As for forums? Some just like to be able to have excess to certain "TV Personalties". Why? The bottom line should be if that "person" you want to remain in contact with is in fact, an honest person. Period. What happens later when the poo hit's the fan. It can later land up on your own face. So, some of these sites have to remain strong. And, do the right thing. And, not be a sell out.
As of now. I'm going to sit back and see what happens the next couple of weeks.

Donna Of GH And GHI. Says All!

To be honest I'm still a little wet behind my ears about all these ghost hunting groups. So, this is all new to me (not the occult or the paranormal per se). But, this morning Ghostdivas put up on Syfy their interview with Donna LaCroix of GH, and GHI fame.

http://ghostdivas.mypodcast.com/2009/11/The_Divas_and_Donna-256773.html

This really opens up a can of worms. For sure! And, you guys really have to listen to the "whole" interview. The "whole thing" to really get all the juicy info. No bars hold. She talks about the production company. About Why she left GHI (that goes for Andy and Brian too). Having no money. About plastic surgery. Fakery. Pictures of herself. And, Kristyn Gartland has pictures too going around on the web. The Youtube that a fan made of Jason and Grant ripping into Brian with him present. Jason looking for a place to buy in Atlanta, GA. TAPS ever changing show and partying after a shoots. And, the language on the interview (not that I have a problem with that). I knew sooner all later this stuff would come out. I thought it would happen after the show's off the air. But, don't be surprised soon you'll see Donna writing a tell-all. Come on Donna get cracking with it. Make the moo-la. But, remember you better have all this info backed up first. Because I can't find some of this stuff myself. Hey, I'm only the msger.

TV Review: Ghost Hunters Academy

So, I watched that show. And, to be honest. It was more interesting then GH and GHI. While you ask? Because for the first time we have an understanding how GH really handle cases. And, how they run a ghost hunt. Bottom Line: What the head investigator expects from YOU. That's interesting. But, as for Steve being the teacher. I'm still on the fence. He never really impressed me all these years on GH. Jason and Grant may have a love affair with him. But, I don't. But, getting away from that they have a medium this time. And, a secret sensitive too. Now, I know Jason understand sensitivity due to the fact he is one himself (in his book). Steve called out Heather in the beginning because she didn't want to go in on the tour of the fort they were investigating. But, I understood, she didn't want prior knowledge. It would contaminate her feelings. But, I'm not sure if the two girls will be around for long because GH viewers really don't like mediums. As for the guy recruits? They are doing the usual "guy thing". Make it look like you know what your doing. Even though you know jack. Get it? And, that can make the show suffer. Because then it turns into a joke. So, this is a problem.
The whole show can turn into a problem because of the points I pointed out. Or, it can turn into one of the most interesting shows out there. We shall see.

Haunted People. Is There Such A Thing?

This is a strange topic. But, sometimes a "place" just isn't haunted. Because no one is having the experience. Or, maybe when something is "happening" is when a particular person is around. Strange, huh?
There are several things that can be the cause. And, that's only if you believe in these particular causes. One, can be just plain mental illness. The onset of the illness can come anytime in a person's life. That's something not many people are aware of. The person might hear, see, even smell thing's that no one else is noticing. All of a sudden. So, they may really believe their are spirits around them. Two, can be a demon entered the body of the person. Three, the person's psychic abilities. Whether they know it or not. Is coming out. Usually it tends to come out as they age. But, this can be also seen as mental illness. If a person is psychic, and not know it. They believe the place that they are residing at is haunted. But, after a while it's noticeable it "follows" only them wherever they go. And, know body else is having the same experiences.
That's when people go on a ghost hunt they feel relief when someone else is having the same feelings as themselves.
So, what do you do in these cases. I believe a person should seek medical care first. If it's really going to the point that becomes a real true concern. As for demons. Many Catholics and other religions believe that this can truly be very real. And, you should seek help of a priest. Last, someone becoming a psychic? It pretty tricky. There are many sites on the Internet that can connect a person to the right people. They can determine maybe through testing if this is really the case.
But, my very last thought on this topic. Maybe a spirit is "attached" to the person. Again, that's a very hard thing to determine. Then you need some sort of cleansing. And, you need a spiritualist to help you. If you so wish.

Ghost Photography. What Do You Think About Them?

I'm not a really big fan of photos or films of ghosts. Because I really don't understand the equipment itself and the film process. That's where I'm really skeptical. And, where I have a problem with "skeptics". They love using all sorts of equipment to prove their point. I'm skeptical of all equipment, period. Too many holes.
Photos of the past were always questioned. Because they looked too fake. But, today with all the photoshop and other methods. It can fool anyone. Too tricky. Gee, even my son loves to use photoshop showed me how you can make a "ghost" photo in two seconds. And, believe me, it looks like so many of the photos that are out there. He proved "my" theory. So, I found a couple of websites that are interesting. Just about photos.
http://www.ghoststudy.com/
This one is great to look at. It's to get a really good idea of what these photos look like. Some are really not to take seriously.

http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/
This one really explains about the different fake photos out there. Really breaking it down for someone like myself to understand.

http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/
Another interesting site. Really to look at when you have nothing else to do.

http://www.ghostresearch.org/ghostpics/
Same with this one.

These are two interesting news articles.

Are There People Making Money From The Paranormal?

Yes, many. And, it's really sad to say so. Because their are many out there just saying they are doing it to help you. Don't believe it. Many started with the "help" idea and it snowballed. Yes, I read many books, and watch TV shows and see movies. But, I always have done so. Mainly because of my own experiences in the field. I always had interest. Lately some of the books, and shows, and the internet have created a boom of some sort. And, it worries me. Because in the past it was a simple and very closed off section of life that has always been there. But, somehow went to the masses. It's like pizza. The first one in the US was in the 1930's. People were happy with the original experience. Fast forward: Now you have pizza with macaroni, ham, pineapple and so on. It took the original experience and basically destroyed it. Then it changes to the point that you don't want any pizza at all. Get it?
That's what's happening in the paranormal world. It just went too far. To the point you have people joining the band wagon to make money. It's sickening. Personally, they are fooling themselves that they think that people like myself are unaware of what they are doing. I just like things to go back the way it use to be. That the people that really truly believe in this field are the only ones involved. The charlatans can go jump in the river for all I care. But, then again if they see no revenue coming in, they'll leave anyhow. But, not without destroying the field first. Very sad.
This website is an example of what I am talking about.

Perplex? What Is The Paranormal?

With the TV shows, books and other information. I'm personally a little confused. And, for sometime now, about the paranormal investigations of "now". I'm now reading a very interesting book by Dan Aykroyd's father Peter H. Aykroyd called A History Of Ghosts. It touches on the points of the paranormal I was brought up with. And, it is the bases of everything that is going on now with the paranormal. But, somehow, somewhere, somebody came up with all the "new" information about the spirit world. And, it's tremendously a mess. I know the new way is "scientific". But, it still doesn't quite add up. Lately I noticed It's as if they realize they are missing something. That's what I have seen as of late.
On a recent Ghost Hunters show. You see all the investigators walking around with equipment in their hands. Bored! Strange isn't it. Why are they bored? For one, they know, and only they know they are not going to find anything. I also believe many of these investigators to this day have never seen a thing. It's very noticeable when they "jump" when they hear something or see something they don't understand. Their really scared. And, then they get annoyed at the fact that something "stupid" made them scared. And, made them look stupid to the audience. Then why are you there in the first place? I believe like in Mr. Aykroyd's book you have to learn how to communicate. Correctly. There are random times a spirit might appear to the unexpected person. And, that person witness an apparition.
I don't know yet what the right formula is. Someday somebody will find it and open the door that everybody has been looking for.

Fire Island Lighthouse, Long Island, NY

The original lighthouse was built 1826. Made of imported stonework of Connecticut Blue Split Stone. A Mr. Smith with his family were hired to become the first lighthouse caretaker. While the first lighthouse was being built. Shipments had to come in to complete it. And the wait was long. The contractor talked him to staying in a small wooden shack until completion. Needless to say one of his young daughters died from exposure to the elements. Many stories arose from this tragedy (there is no record). Because of his daughters death. It's said he hung himself in the tower.

A second lighthouse was built 1857 because the original was too short for ships to see the light. You can still see where the original lighthouse was. But, it's just ruble. Many of the stonework was used on the second lighthouse. Which was built 6 miles away.

This is where the confusion starts. Why would the lighthouse caretaker "haunt" the new lighthouse. Maybe it transferred with the stonework? Not sure. But, at the 1887 lighthouse the hauntings consist of the heavy doors open and close by themselves, strange laughing, banging sounds, eerie feeling. Some employees say they have trouble closing one of the windows in the tower. It just will not close. They hear also in the tower moaning. And the strangest one they say as you walk up the stairs of the tower. You can see into the second floor of the lighthouse keepers house. And, it looks as though someone is looking back at you from the second floor window.

Should We Believe In Everything We See And Hear?

This topic about the paranormal field is very interesting. It's really two-fold. First, you have the actual experiences that people believe to be paranormal. I have written about certain things before. So I don't want to repeat myself. Too many outside influences can be a cause. Such as animals, the premises condition, the personal health of a person seeing and hearing.
Now the second part is the paranormal investigators. Let's be frank. We are going on their word. Even with so call "proof". They bring in the personal experience of the case. Then we depend that the equipment they are using is be used correctly and actually working correctly. Some of this equipment is being mishandled. How, by using them time and time again. Transporting them from site to site. And, not collaborating after each use by a professional electrical tech that has a license to do so.
And, the books. Unless it's written by engineers, scientists, meteorologists, etc. It's useless.
The paranormal field has been changing in an incredible rate. That that's why so many shows are out there. Showing different ways of investigating. But, there's an open door for someone to have a show base on debunking the debunkers. Oh, I'll bet you that's next. Randy, Penn, you guys are up next.

Poveglia. Venice, Italy

The Poveglia is an island located in the Venice Lagoon area. And, is not open to the public. You have to ask for a request to be able to investigate. This island has close to a thousand year history of misery. Starting from Roman times during it's plague. And, the Black Death of the middle ages. Originally the island had a small community living there but was abandoned around 1380. A leper colony was established as well as a plague pit. And, a Lazaretto, or quarantine station. Which was created to keep unhealthy people way from the health. It's believed that close to a total of 160,000 people have died on the island.
Around 1922 a mental hospital was built. Workers as well as patients stated they have seen ghosts walking all around the property. There is a story about the Chief Doctor that was working there. It was said that he tortured his patients through experiments. There he went mad. And, it's said that the patients took him up the bell tower and pushed him over. He survived the fall. But, as the story goes. He was then strangled by a strange rising mist from the ground.
Today, the island is used for farming primarily vineyards. And, there is talk (maybe even being started to be built) to build a luxury hotel there.

Halloween Live TV Shows. Very Strange?

First I'll admit one thing. I didn't finishing seeing the Ghost Hunters Live (first time) and Most Haunted Live 8 Faces of Evil. As for Ghost Hunters. It was a little on the confusing side. I'll lay the blame on "who" was really running the show for that night. Too many commercials. Why so little investigating. Here's a few questions?: Why really didn't Jason and Grant wanted to do the Live (other then their children)? Why weren't the "whole" GH team there to do the show? Why wasn't GHI allowed to run it? And, the most important question: Why is Steve never reprimanded for his stupid actions (the Fart)? I'll watch either the re-run of this show. Or, on Youtube. And, let you know.

Most Haunted is very grueling to watch. I have to watch it on Youtube. And, it's 8 nights 7 hours each. But, I have to watch this one. They receive a lot of flack from viewers for their recreated "hanging" using Karl. Many viewers stated their not going to watch the show anymore after this. So, again. I let you know my thoughts later.

Ghost Adventures, well, I still like them. But, they really have to tweak this for next year. The host really had problems with speaking. Maybe nerves. But, still it was very annoying. Nick dragging that cord. How can you hear anything? Chris Flemming using any show to help sell new equipment. Remember GH and him with the KII? Please, somebody has to stop him from doing that. And, Robert Bess what a character he is. It was quite obvious that he thought that night vision camera wasn't on him when he threw the EMF on the floor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WSFwQQ3hq0. Remember it's pitch black in there so he knew no one can see him. And, that huge machine with the alarm. Aah! To think about all the paranormal shows. We always never see where the sound is coming from. Very good job from the guys keeping an eye on Mr. Bess.

Each year with all these shows something always happens. Hey, that's Live TV. So, like I said I'll write up about GH Live and MH Live. When I get a chance.

Day Of The Dead, Mexico

Don't get me wrong. But, our Halloween is just orange and black. With a black cat and witch. Basically, dark. But, in some of the countries south of the border. What a beautiful pretty day. Flowers of marigolds, candy, cakes, candles, sugar skulls, breads, and just the wonderment of colors. They don't make it scary at all for children. They make the celebrating of the dead. Fun! And, cheerful. We do too. But, not as vibrant.
November 1st is for the celebration of the dead children. November 2nd for the adults. It's mainly a holiday that is based with the Olmec, Zapotec, Mixtec, Mexican or Aztec, Maya, P'urhépecha, and Totonac Indians. The reason we know about it is more for the sugar skulls called Calavera. And, most of all the figurines called La Calavera Catrina.
And, for my Ghost Lounge friends. Here's a recipe, enjoy!

Pan de Muerto, "Bread of the Dead"

In celebration of Mexico's Day of the Dead, this bread is often shaped into skulls or round loaves with strips of dough rolled out and attached to resemble bones.

Ingredients:

* 1/2 cup butter
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1/2 cup water
* 5 to 5-1/2 cups flour
* 2 packages dry yeast
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 tablespoon whole anise seed
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 4 eggs

In a saucepan over medium flame, heat the butter, milk and water until very warm but not boiling.

Meanwhile, measure out 1-1/2 cups flour and set the rest aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine the 1-1/2 cups flour, yeast, salt, anise seed and sugar. Beat in the warm liquid until well combined. Add the eggs and beat in another 1 cup of flour. Continue adding more flour until dough is soft but not sticky. Knead on lightly floured board for ten minutes until smooth and elastic.

Lightly grease a bowl and place dough in it, cover with plastic wrap and let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk, about 1-1/2 hours. Punch the dough down and shape into loaves resembling skulls, skeletons or round loaves with "bones" placed ornamentally around the top. Let these loaves rise for 1 hour.

Bake in a preheated 350 F degree oven for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and paint on glaze.
Glaze

* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
* 2 tablespoons grated orange zest

Bring to a boil for 2 minutes, then apply to bread with a pastry brush.

If desired, sprinkle on colored sugar while glaze is still damp.

Himuro Mansion, Japan

There's a popular video game called "Fatal Frame". But, did you know that the game is based on a actual place on the outskirts of Tokyo called Himuro Mansion (or Himikyru Mansion).
Now, I love Japanese and Korean ghost films. And, anyone that loved The Ring or The Grudge are probably wondering, "Is there actual places like the story?". Well, this one has one problem off the bat. We don't know if this is just an Urban Legend. But, it's an interesting story just the same.
It's believed that Bad Karma would emerge at the end of the year from a portal that is located on the mansion grounds. And, because of this they must perform the Shinto Ritual or "The Strangling Ritual". Now, I don't want to get gory here so I'll break it down. It seems they need a young maiden. That is sheltered from the world until she is needed for the ritual. Which is the bottom line tied up and dragged until her death. And, the bloody rope is place in front of the mansion to stop the Bad Karma coming in. Where the Urban Legend comes in. It's believe one year a maiden fell in love. And, the Landowner killed his family to avoid the Bad Karma. This is believed to have happened about 80 years ago.
As for ghost hauntings? People say they see the family dressed in white preparing for the ritual. Bloody hand prints on the walls. People visiting will have rope burns on the wrists. And, if you take a photograph, during the day. You will see a young ghost girl in the photo.

What Is It With All The Newfangled Paranormal Equipment?

The only thing the Ghost Hunters done that was "different" was trying to be scientific. That was their catch. It's true, at the time, nobody was really going that direction in paranormal investigations. But, now! Everybody and their Momma is on the band wagon. Which brings me to this. They really don't know how the equipment "really" works. And, almost a good portion of it is mainly "prototypes". I have a little of an inside track on this (not the paranormal equipment). So, I do have an understanding that some of this equipment is really useless. Nobody really knows what a "ghost" is made of. It's all speculative. Now, if "ghosts" are of another dimension? Then all this equipment is as good as nothing. So, I think? The closest thing is a portal. But, getting back to the point. The equipment they are using is for electrical use. In a lab study they would use some sort of a "clean room". Meaning, nothing else can penetrate or contaminate the atmosphere. Believe it not. A clean room can be put up anywhere. Even in the middle of a living room for example. Or, even outside. That can be done. If they do this. Then they are cooking with gas. But, you need the right professional personnel to run this. And, that would never happen. It's a huge expense.

2nd TV Review: Extreme Paranormal. Oh, Boy!

What can I say? I'm glad it's over. I hope for good. First of all let me play Devil's Advocate for a second. Many of these shows that are out they use a lot of "editing". Which leaves us where? We don't really know if what we are watching is the real deal. For instance, they were at the bayou cemetary performing the voodoo ritual and burial. Now, I know they showed us the cemetery with the wooden crosses. But, how do we know if after that shot they filmed. They moved up or down stream to another location. Do we really know? Because that what they did (burial) would have been a desecration of the dead. Even for an Occultist that would have been a bit much. And, who's filming? Again, we never see how many people are really out there with them. Could be as many as 20 people. Such as the hand print they found on the tree. Which was reading "cold" on the thermal. How do we know if it wasn't them earlier that caused it? Only "they" know.
Now, my take on all these shows. I'm personally getting tried of watching them. Love the paranormal. But, not crazy about these shows. Something, somewhere has to give. Even Most Haunted on the recent Live (which is now on Youtube) people on their forums are complaining. But, what are we all complaining about? I think I know. We all beginning to realize we are all being taken for a ride. Hard to swallow, huh? I know I feel the same way. By next year don't be surprised all of a sudden there all gone.

For A Fright Ride, Drive Clinton Road, NJ. If You Dare!

This is one strange road. No towns, stores, houses. Located around West Milford, Passaic County, NJ. Runs North to South directions beginning around Route 23 near Newfoundland Running 10 miles to Upper Greenwood Lakes. I have no clue why this road was even built? But, for years many, many stories about paranormal, strange creatures, witches, Satanists, KKK and also professional hit men.
A book was written called "Convergence: When the Living Clash with the Dead".
The road is very foreboding due to the lack of life around it. Ruins of buildings past. Just the loneliness can make your mind wander. It's unique. So, because of this is why you have all the endless stories. But, some stand out more then others.
The story about the Ghost Boy at the Bridge is the one that stands out the most. It's believed if you throw a coin over the bridge side, which is pretty far down. Wait. Your coin will come right back to you. It's said you can 'mark' your coin however you wish. It will be the same coin. Pretty creepy isn't it.

Mutter Museum. What A Creepy Place!

Due to the fact that Halloween falls on a Saturday this year. It's worth for some of you guys (that are close) to come to Philly. Not just to visit Eastern State Penn. But, for the Mutter Museum. This is the most bizarre and intense place you can go to. The oddness and creepiness is more then a 100 haunted houses put together. You have to remember, these were once human beings. There just not buried in a cemetery. Do I believe some "spirits" follow their bones to their final resting place? You better believe it! I felt sick and dizzy in the place. Almost to the point of passing out. The strange thing about the place is: Why is this open to the public? I understand med students. But, why us? Even the curator of late passed away. I wouldn't be surprised she haunting the place. So, come on down. And, bring your KII meter, take some EVP's, and your digital camera. I'll bet you'll find something.

Please check their website. Tons of info.
